MEMS Score is a project developed at the Institute of Applied Microelectronics and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Rostock, Germany. It was developed by multiple students and researchers as part of their bachelor or master thesis. The purpose of these works was and still is to provide an easy to use method to evaulate the inertial sensor system on a smartphone.
The development of MEMS Score was supported by the Bosch Sensortec GmbH, Germany.
During the work on MEMS Score, many new discoveries and innovations were made. Some of them led to scientific papers:
1. A Mobile Camera-Based Evaluation Method of Inertial Measurement Units on Smartphones
The paper was presented at the 6th. S-CUBE - Sensor Systems and Software conference in Rome,
Italy in 2015 and will be published in Sensor Systems and Software: 6th International Conference, S-CUBE 2015.
The paper was published in Internet of Things. IoT Infrastructures.
2. Statistical analysis and improvement of the repeatability and reproducibility of an evaluation method for IMUs on a smartphone
The paper was presented at the 8th. EICS 2016 - Engineering Interactive
Computing Systems conference in Brussels, Belgium in 2016 and has been published in
Proceedings of the
8th ACM SIGCHI Symposium on Engineering Interactive Computing Systems.
